The People Of Web Analytics: An Hour A Day

I am quite touched by all the pictures I have got of the book. They are from everywhere in the world and in such great well thought out background. Kudos to all of you!! I am deeply grateful (please keep the pictures coming, I will send you an autographed bookmark as a small token of thanks).

One of the most amazing thing to me is things about the pictures are the insights into who the people behind the pictures are and what they are all about. So without further ado here are the people of Web Analytics: An Hour A Day:

ockham tim UK
It is hard to pick favorites but this was such a meaningful picture to me, the book that came from Occam's Razor the blog at the Parish: *All Saints', Ockham with Hatchford and Downside. It was founded in the 11th century (and was added to in the 13th and 14th century). Thanks Tim!! (Bonus Link: Occam what?)

bryan NY
Did you get it? It took me a second. That's a very creative Bryan Eisenberg with some "magic" and the book. :)

patrick VT
Patrick in Vermont shares one of his passions, catch and release fly fishing, with mine, the book.

justin lake champlain VT
Talking of Vermont, here's another famous Vermonter, Justin, at Lake Champlain. Nothing like reading a book when you are out riding your bike a hundred miles! :)

jerome london
Jerome gets 100 extra points of figuring out the precise place where he could get a picture with two of London's most famous landmarks, the Eye and Big Ben (as someone who grew up listening to the BBC Worldservice on short wave radio I have heard those chimes for years and they hold special meaning).

joe ON
Joe in Ontario is not simply reading the book, he wants a copy on his computer and putting all the technology he can find to get it into a electronic format! :)

marc PHI
Marc in the Philippines expresses his passion for the book! I could not be more happy!!

internet strategy group MD
I am grateful to the wonderful people of the Internet Strategy Group for reading the book (did you notice all the annotation markets on the side of the book!), and for putting it on top of the word Educate! Education is my key motivation behind the book. Thanks Laura and team!

gareth UK
Do you notice a trend here? Another picture of someone sharing their passion via the picture. Gareth from the UK. Web Analytics and Drumming, I can see it!

WAHD and God of Love
One last picture for this post and another one that meant a lot. That is Lord Krishna, courtesy of Bhupendra from India, blessing the book. That is so kind.

The clear favorite for pictures by far is children. I have pictures of beautiful children (from babies to teenagers) reading the book. I am going to save those pictures for a future post that will be 100% be dedicated to kids.

Meanwhile please send me your pictures, I am absolutely having a blast (and have a lot more to share – only after getting permission from each person who sends the picture). You'll get an autographed bookmark in exchange, but that's just a fun small thank you.

Please share your feedback about the people of web analytics an hour a day. Where you as impressed as I was? Which picture is your favourite?

PS : I am back from vacation but on the road in less than twelve hours. I am still under a mountain of emails. If I have not replied to your email please accept my apologies for the tardiness. I promise to clean up the backlog by the end of this week. (Hi from New York.)

How many photos from how many countries do you have by now?

  2. 2

Thanks for posting our photo, and for mentioning the team at ISG! We had a lot of fun coming up with the idea.

I'd also be curious to know how many pictures of the book you've received.

My favorite picture so far is the last one on this post, because it's so colorful.

    Hi Avinash,

I'd be interested in a similar question as Lars especially how many photos from international locations you have so far ;).

At first I didn't get what was supposed to be magic about Bryan Eisenberg's photo, but now I get it..mirror-inverted –> mirror, right?

Lars / Patrick : I have received approximately one hundred pictures from approximately fifteen countries! So amazing!! But I want more, please send 'em.

Robbin : She is going to be here, I promise! She is in the "kids edition" that will be here soon. There are so many awesome kid pictures.

Thanks everyone. Please keep 'em coming.

    Why ?

I´m waiting it for a long time.
